Pink Bow or Yellow Bow?

Bow colors are the things we are pondering these days.

Don't let this picture fool you. It is raining and miserable here today.

On Kristin's threat of being grumpy I am posting a quick update. She is right about moving on from the kids organization stuff. I have a weeks worth of laundry piled up and I want to add that it is piled up nicely. I have loads of clothes everywhere trying to phase in summer but wait it is still cold. ugh.

I have been consumed by our preschool's consignment sale. It was over last week but little details like money are still hanging over me. Other little details like mounds of new baby girl clothes are overwhelming me. I wish someone would slap me and tell me she doesn't need a new outfit for every day of the year. Baseball takes up all the other free time I have. I have been taking a few pictures and am behind on that as well. Luckily to further the procrastination I am taking a trip to DC this weekend to see a friend. I have got to pack. I am going to try and offload lots of my baby girl clothes to her.

I am still alive and well here. Just wait until I tell you about how I am "Making the Cut"!

Organize Your Kid's Clothes

Check out Amy's blog for a free download for days of the week tags.

I like pretty colorful things. Especially when they have polka-dots.

This doesn't work for me yet because if I allow my boys to go in their closet they lose their minds. Suddenly they start pulling every piece of clothing off the hangers and dropping them on the floor. I don't know why. Also, once they got in there they would ignore everything else and go straight for the Star Wars T-shirt no matter what instruction was given to them. They just can't help themselves.

I'm wondering now if Amy could make some Star Wars hang tags.

Random Picture Challenge: Feb. 2009 (and I do mean random)

4 Little Men & Girly Twins Random Picture Challenge.

February 2009: First picture not of your kids.

Bottles of water. It is very disappointing for me as for you. Oh well, you can't win 'em all.

I don't know why I took this picture. I was probably testing to see how bad the pictures were going to be on my little camera. I take pictures of lots of random things so you just never know.

I am in a really bad mood. Can you tell? If you couldn't, I wanted to make sure you knew. This picture didn't help my mood. It does make me want a donut (or two).

17 Month Old Sesame Street Fan

She is great. She says "Mama" when she wants things and loves to give "Dada" hugs. She is all about her "wa-wa". She likes to stay hydrated. She gets the same three Sesame Street books over and over through the day and backs up to me so she can sit in my lap. I just love that. My boys only cared about MoMo (Elmo) when they were little but this little girl likes "Cookee" (Cookie Monster) and Oscar the Grouch. "Where's Oscah?" It is cute but also a bit scary. She really is my child...loving something tied to cookies and grouchiness.

She lives life with hair in her eyes because she likes to pull out her bows and show them to me (and because Mama won't cut bangs). She knows the major body parts (eyes, belly, nose, hair, toes, etc). And, she can throw a major fit when she doesn't get her way. ;-) Little Miss Independence is really throwing her weight around these days.

"Follow Your Heart

Apology Tour begins on the Ellen Show

I think I am ready to speak on The Bachelor. I think.

As my husband always says about the show in general "it is designed for failure." He is funny like that. Anyway, normally I probably wouldn't say much about that show because I try to avoid it and I don't want any of you to know that I have watched it. However, this is my small way to blast it publicly so here we go.

That guy is a dweeb.

I can't believe all those other girls took up for him so much and I can't stand the way he rubs his new girlfriend's arm UP and DOWN the whole time she is trying to talk. If I hear him say "follow your heart" one more time I think I will throw up. I hope 2 years into the relationship he doesn't decide to "follow his heart" and be happier with the girl next door because the current girlfriend nagged him too much about taking the trash out and suddenly things "just weren't the same." Welcome to the real world, Jason. I loved it when my mother said "that's why his wife left him."

He is starting an organization called Jason's Place. Once it is up and going I'm sure the first tip will be "whenever you see your child you should run to them, scoop them up in your arms and immediately fall to the ground and roll around because you are just so happy to be in their presence." That is what he did every single time on the show. I love my kids to death but I don't think I have ever done that. You can also find the link to follow him on Twitter. Gross. I am thinking of blocking him from my account just to make myself feel better. I looked at his Facebook page and it is so funny to me that his Wall comments are all such wonderful things. They must delete the bad ones. Am I the only one that feels this way?

I can't blog

I'm watching The Bachelor.

They better be glad I'm not on that show to tell that boy a thing or two.

Snow Day in Georgia

This is the way I found my boys yesterday when I returned from Costco. It snowed pretty hard for a few hours. I had to go straight from church where I was helping in the nursery to the store. Believe me, it was out of necessity. Had I not been scheduled to work at church, I can assure you I would have stayed in my PJs all day long. I certainly wasn't dressed appropriately and had to tear off a part of the Kleenex box in the car to scrape off the 3 inches of snow on my car before and after my trip to the Costco.

If you look hard you can see hot chocolate on their mouths.

Can you see my little Daffodil that was trying to come up before the white stuff hit it.

My Bradford Pear tree was also trying to bloom. I'm not sure what it will do now.

A lot of this melted by evening and then it was below freezing all night long. We will wait anxiously to see how much ice is out there and hope that school is canceled. Fingers Crossed! I am all for the town shutting down for bad weather. I want my PJ day.

Random Picture Challenge: September 2007

This is from 4 Little Men's random picture challenge. It is the 11th picture from September 2007. Whew. #10 and you would have seen my big pregnant belly 3 weeks before delivery of Baby Girl.

I took a picture of a baby shower gift I received. I loved it so much and was fearful it might one day be shattered in our house so I took a picture. I ended up using that same bible verse on her birth announcement. I really did pray for her and waited a long time for her. For days after receiving this gift I cried and cried about it thinking about the journey I took to that 9th month and the goodness of God.

It now hangs over her bedroom light switch so I can see it every day.

As usual, I messed up a really easy Random Challenge contest. Before I read the instructions twice, I pulled November's 11th picture. I went to the trouble of blocking out her real name and adding "Baby Girl" on the blanket so I am going to go ahead and post it.

She was about a month old and I put her in my great grandmother's bread bowl that my Mom used for flower arrangements in college. Baby Girl was exhausted by the experience.
