hands and hair

And the most uninteresting blog title ever.

Sweet hands
(that sometimes claw your face off because I forget to cut fingernails. They only grow an inch every day!).

Along with the fingernails, it is just too much for me to comb her hair EVERY day.

Sea World

Oh, look. More vacation pictures. Joy.

I personally think the story lines they create for these Shamu shows are extremely cheesy. My Hubby said he thought it was good but I don't know about that. I prefer Shamu Rocks where they just play rock music and don't try to get you to "Believe". She started out the day in cute pig tails. I took a picture because I knew they wouldn't last.

Baby Girl isn't too sure about approaching the creepy looking dolphin. I don't blame her. Remember I have low standards for my own kids' pictures so this is perfectly fine.

Here we go...typical move of my kids. The creepy dolphin takes a picture with other people and she decides NOW is when she want to get her picture made too.

ANOTHER flattened penny.

Don't you dare!

She did. I had to put down my camera to pull her out of the water.

The Big Guy

Not so big according to the fun-roller-coaster-ride people.

Give me your Best Shot

Photobucket

Thanks to Better in Bulk for giving me a reason to post something other than Disney photos. Yesterday I had some time alone with Baby Girl with no boys and NO husband around. This doesn't happen much lately. We played and it occurred to me that I might better take a picture of her before she grows up too fast. This may not be the best shot of the week for me, but it might provoke the most happiness for me. She has a lot of expression to her - always making faces. I love all of the ones that have wide open mouths and surprised faces.

What is your best shot of the week?

If you give a baby a Pop-Tart

If you ask your 5 year old to look after your 20 month old so you can sleep a little longer, he might stick her down in a cooler so she can't move and feed her pop-tarts. At least she was happy.

Who wouldn't be happy eating a Pop-Tart?

Stars & Stripes Forever

Little late, I guess. The Little Guy had the throw ups all day on the 4th. I did the dirty work and then left him home with Dad for recovery (and the begging for food). I spent a lot of the day at my Mom's house with the other 2 kids. We swam a little and ate a little. I tried not to fall asleep and Baby Girl pushed through to go the whole day without a nap. On my other camera I caught maybe one blurry picture of Baby Girl in her cute flag dress. Hopefully I can get that up and posted around...August?

This will be my first full week since school got out in May that my boys are in something organized longer than 2.5-3 hours at a time. I am going to seriously catch up on stuff around here. Or, I'll read books to Baby Girl. It is just hard to tell how it might go. I did manage to go to the grocery store, bank and cook dinner tonight. Things are looking up. I must pace myself.

Epcot '09 +

A few more pictures from Disney. My picture download is slow...nothing patriotic to show right now.
I waited in line an hour with these monkeys to ride Test-Track. It was totally worth it to them. It was one of their favorites. It could have been worse. I had candy in my bag and that helped entertain them and a camera to entertain myself.

The Cutest and the Wettest little Cinderella ever. Above is outside my favorite hang-out spot, The Baby Center. Below she checks the map for us. We were waiting for a huge storm that eventually came. We hung out for a short time in a shop (bought more candy) until it passed.

The Big Guy loves Epcot architecture. I rode whatever the ride is in the big golf ball 3 times with him and Baby Girl. No lines.

I was on the way to take him to an arcade so he was very willing to get his picture made below. This is the day after his bad sunburn. We were supposed to swim and he passed. The arcade wasn't open yet. It was H-O-T.

Organizational heaven. I need this in my living room.

21 month old Baby Girl (her Mom's post)

I must interrupt my (old) vacation picture posts to wish Baby Girl a happy birthday. I couldn't figure out earlier where I could write something about her where I would find it again when I got around to doing her baby book in 11 years. I want to just bottle her up and I know I will forget some things. Today, July 2nd, 2009 is when she started saying "Circle". She probably was saying this a month ago and I didn't understand her. Four or Five of her words sound exactly like "she". Shoes and TV being two of the words. She-She sounds so much nicer than "shoe", don't you think? She also repeated me when I said rectangle, triangle, etc. Pretty hilarious. I need to pull out the video recorder.

This is a picture of Grammy and Baby Girl Sunday night at my Aunt's house for dinner. She still takes her "football"/milk everywhere with her. My Mom tried for 25 minutes to get up and leave and Baby Girl would point to the step and say "sit!". They were looking in a very large mirror so lots of fun to her.

She has started scratching and hitting. She likes to say "OW" when she does that. She is really rough with her brothers because she can be. I noticed in the church nursery that she was fine with all the little girls and with the one boy there she was pretty mean. She yelled at him to get out of her way and tried to hurt him. Not very becoming of our little lady. When I ask how she has been in there they say "oh, she was fine. She had a few fits but that isn't unusual for her."

She wears Crocs inside the house most of the day. If she can't find her own she will put on her brother's huge ones. She is definitely going to be a shoe she-she girl. She also asks demands every night that I rock ("wock wock") her. Ahhh. I don't' mind that so much. And lastly I'll say that she is still a very bad car passenger. On our 8 hour ride to FL she only slept 45 minutes. She hollered a lot of the way and would only watch 2 different DVDs. I put on Barney once and she was outraged - can't blame her. She is also a bad passenger just driving across town. Spoiled rotten but cute as a bug.

So long to Hollywood

Besides my wonderful, saintly Aunt in Orlando, we also have good friends. This is the chica that moved to the ATL with me when we had no jobs and lived in a very scary ghetto-like apartment together. She is the Thelma to my Louise. Neither of us want to be Thelma so she might say that I am her, but she isn't here right now. We have stories about looking for jobs in 102 degree weather in cars with no A/C. I'll just say that the worse interview story for me was the one where in the middle I said "I think I am in the wrong place." Anyway, we have multiplied since then and it is good to hang out with them again every year.

Our group shot of all of us leaving MGM. This was right before the $20 black Star Wars T-shirts were purchased for the boys. I am no fun. I just don't think they are necessary. They do wear them every day so I guess we are getting our money's worth.

On another note, Baby Girl is a trooper. This is her 3rd day closing down a theme park. BTW, she did come home and start sleeping in her bed just as she had before. I guess she only needs to sleep directly on top of me when she is away from her crib.

This isn't the last of my Disney pictures. I am just publishing them like I read a magazine - backwards.
