Wordless Wednesday Not Toothless Wednesday

Baby Girl rarely opens her mouth so you can see her teeth. This may be the only time you see her top teeth at least until they come in a lot more.

YAYYYY! Thanks for the hot off the press news about Jason. I LOVED him. He is so cute!! I can't wait to watch. I wonder when it will air- January? I hadn't heard the news- of course after I read your note I went straight over to ABC.com and checked it out. I tried to apply online to be on the show, but then there was a question on the application about whether or not I was currently married- so I was unable to complete it ;)

Hey! I just read your comment about first grade. I really don't think check marks should carry over from one week to the next! Where is the clean slate in that? He should actually get a fresh start everyday-a whole week or more is way too abstract for a first grader. Most 5 and 6 year olds can only focus on small blocks of time. I am troubled by a cumulative punishment.

AND...a trip to the principal's office should be for a major offense or constant disrupting...NOT for "well, over the course of 2 weeks or so you got out of your seat/talked/didn't ask to go to the bathroom" you know? THAT'S WHAT 6 YEAR OLDS DO!

I would say at this point she's still just trying to show them she means business. I really did have to be pretty strict the first 6 weeks or so (and I taught in a really good school) just to let them know I meant what I said. But there also has to be a learning curve. Especially where procedures are involved. I would say to definitely request a conference if next week doesn't go any better. Is she sending notes home each day detailing the rule(s) broken? You should def. be getting a note home if he gets in trouble. How else will you know what to talk to him about?

Keep me posted. I am very curious. If you do have a conference I can tell you some things to ask for, too.

ALSO...as if this wasn't long enough...I need to go to a password -protected site for a bit, so if you will email me your email address I will send you an "invite" to view my blog. Don't you feel special? :)
