Killed by Caffeine

I just found out that it would take over 200 cans of Diet Coke to kill me. That is good information to know. I'll just keep drinking up because I have not come close to that number (yet).

I was 98% caffeine free before Baby Girl arrived. Now, I need it to function. One day I'll be caffeine free again, but not while I am getting up at 5AM. If it were not for my dear friend, caffeine, I would have most definitely taken at nap at 10AM yesterday (it did not save me from a nap at 3PM). These days my drug of choice is Diet Coke. I have all but abandoned my old friend of many years, Diet Dr. Pepper (especially the caffeine free version). I never make coffee at home, however, I jump at any opportunity to get a free cup elsewhere (Thank you, Trader Joes!). The best thing is unsweet tea with Sweet-n-Low. Ahhhh. I tend to make decaf at home and drink large quantities of the regular when I go out to eat. I should mention that I am awake a lot of nights with my mind racing because I overdid it on tea. It is a vicious cycle.

More to know than you wanted and I might suggest you get a cup of your own coffee to wake up after reading this. If you are still there, take the test above and make sure you haven't overdone it with your lattes.

Oh wow!

(I'm wowing at the 5am part. I'm NOT a before-6am-type-person. And prefer to be the 7am-type-person.)

Good thing you have Coke to help you along your day.

I don't drink soda or caffeinated drinks, but I do eat chocolate. And apparently it would take 1820 doses of the chocolate of my choice to wipe me out. So I'm safe for at least another week...

P.S. If you are wondering why I am up this late, I was waiting for my husband to get home from a function, went on the computer, read MckMama's blog, and now I am wide awake and worried for her.

Oh yes...I too was "caffeine-free" until after the birth of my third. The third kid must bring a whole new level of tiredness, huh??

I am NOT a coffee drinker...so, I like a cold Diet Coke as well. It is a good "drug" of choice! :-)

That is hilarious. Okay- so I am not much of a Diet coke drinker- but if I were, it would take 164 cans to kill me. My poison is coffee! And just about 70 cups would do me in.

I sooooooo need coffee to function in the morning now. Horrible! I really didn't "need" it until this 3rd kid came along...

200 Diet Cokes? Is that cumulative? I hope not...we'd both be in trouble. I've actually started drinking coffee for the first time in my life since my baby girl was born. I only drink it over ice, and with lots of milk. But I've started craving that more than my beloved, long time friend of D.C. I'm pretty crazy about iced tea too; I make a pitcher of that almost every day.
