Baby Minefield

This is for Mara. She recently asked me how I kept the baby from getting in the little pieces of the boy's toys. Apparently I don't. I was in the kitchen while Baby Girl was walking around the house as she always does...sippy cup in hand. She didn't come back and things were very quiet in the other room. I went to investigate and found her putting together a Star Wars ship by herself.

We try. Really. But...you know there are those days...

She isn't too bad about eating things she shouldn't. If it had been my first born, he would have already eaten half of this Lego set.

I scooped her up and saved the day. Notice how I took her picture first, though?

She really does look like she knows what she is doing. Too bad my baby boy will be dressing Polly Pockets when he gets into his sister's little toys. We'll have to trade babies every once in awhile so they will know how to play appropriately.

You're lucky that Baby Girl doesn't put things in her mouth much. Mine STILL do that (especially the older one). Remember the trip to the ER we made this summer because he swallowed a decorative garden stone?!? Yeah. It sounds like more of a boy thing to put icky things that don't belong in your mouth, though. She's already showing her ladylike demanor. :)

Ahem...demeanor, that is.

haha.. the queen of grammer had a misspelling? Now I won't feel so bad when I leave comments for her with multiple questionable spellings.

onto your baby...she's a smart one, for sure! Lego's are tricky.

Amy Jo...I am a terrible typist. That comment took me ten minutes to write. ;)

And P.S....Poor spelling is a characteristic common to geniuses. (I learned that in one of my master's courses, so it must be true.)
